I'm back and blogging the dolce Italian vita which is always an adventure! There are still some missing gaps in the blog but I'll be filling those in and posting about it when I do.  Spring is in the air and the festa season is starting, there will be plenty to blog about!

We have a fabulous restaurant in town that we go to every now and then called Tonino.  They are well known throughout Italy for their catering of major events, weddings and even festas.  Alessandra and Marino just happen to be very close friends with the owner and lucky for us we are often invited along for dinner. Like tonight.

 Tonight was the Cortona Classic Car Club dinner at Tonino's and we were happy to be able to join them!

Dinner was more than we could possibly eat with many courses and fabulous tasting food.
 
After dinner a mutual friend, Roberto, poured us all a glass from the free-flowing grappa.

Which made it quite easy for me to convince Alessandra to wear the lampshade as a hat.

They gave roses out to all the ladies...

As per the norm with most of the Classic Car Club dinners, karaoke was soon to follow the meal.  It takes a little encouraging but soon Alessandra had taken over the mic and was serenading us.

Before going home we stopped in at Rt. 66 for a small cocktail.

It was fun to be out and about like real people with social lives!  With all the work that Keith has been doing lately our social life has been pretty boring in the past few months.  I forgot how fun it is to be out with friends!
