I'm just a regular small town girl who got to relocate from timbucktwo, WA to sunny So Cal. in the late 80's and has loved it every since. Along the way (between jet setting around the globe with my backpack) I was fortunate enough to find my soulmate and together we are forging our way towards freedom of the everyday life and living our dreams. By day I have been a successful business consultant specializing in small business accounting software and management, but by night and weekends I was a wine lover, Mini Cooper owner, photographer, traveler and someone who just enjoys new experiences and spending time with my husband, family, friends and Porter the dog.
I'm now blogging my journey of being the normal everyday person who threw caution to the wind and finally escaped!. I have been experiencing the move of a lifetime to Italy, becoming an Italian citizen as well as the "normal" everyday life of the escape artist who is always on the hunt for the perfect photo, shoes, wine and plate of pasta. I attempt to log all our misadventures and constant need to discover more of the beautiful Italian countryside while finding amazing little villages along the way.
We recently added a new member to the family, Murphy the dog, who is our constant companion and great pal to Porter dog. In late 2007 we finally took the plunge and bought our very own Tuscan farmhouse in the land of Under the Tuscan Sun. Life is ALWAYS an adventure and never gets boring here in Italy! Cin cin!
