Ho-hum, another day and another winery to check out in the area to research for my tours.

In our defense, it actually was a pretty dull day, rainy, chilly and we had a visiting friend in town that we wanted to spend some quality time with, but, what to do?

Being that we have a common interest in WINE, and lots of it, we came up with the idea of doing some wine tasting, completely original, I know!

After some calling around our friend decided on a winery called Sette Ponti just outside of Arezzo.  With the rain it wasn't the prettiest of drives but as we approached the estate we could see that it was a beautiful setting, even through the spring showers.

The tasting was expensive but definitely extensive.  We tasted the two Tuscany estate wines, all of them were quite good, and some of them were really fantastic. They also served a plate of some fresco cinta senesi prosciutto that was really delicious along side the wines.

We walked away with a good amount of wine, go figure.  Since in Italy, you drink wine instead of water, we tend to go through wine rather quickly so it was a nice replenishment of our stock!
