Today we woke up and although we were still in Barcelona for one last day we ended up not amounting to a whole heck of a lot.

After spending the last few days in this fantastically vibrant city I think we were finally officially worn out.  Although we hadn't made a dent on really seeing all of the "sights", we decided to take a day off and just hang out in the apartment, letting Keith get some work done and also allowing our feet some much needed rest.

In the afternoon we headed out to a tapas bar
we like near the Sagrada Familia for one last pitcher of sangria.  This time we had the cava sangria and it was refreshingly tasty.

The Sagrada Familia looks even more interesting at night although it will look better once the construction cranes are finished with and taken away.

For dinner we were going to a restaurant we had passed on our first day, a fusion of Saigon, New Orleans and Catalan that wasn't advertised anywhere and hard to find out any information about.  The restaurant was called Me and we made late reservations for dinner.

The restaurant had a very artsy and progressive vibe reminding me of many of the places we used to frequent in southern California.

They started off with a vegetable chip appetizer.  It was good.  We were excited to try the rest.

The menu was really interesting and it was hard to make a decision from all the many deliciously described offerings.  We finally settled on a variety of different plates and then asked for a suggestion of a local wine.

The person helping us was really nice and genuinely interested in finding out how we found out about the restaurant and helping suggest the best items from the menu.

I can't remember the specifics of all the dishes (since I am blogging about it after the fact) but I do know that each one had delicate but flavorful tastes with a blend of spices that really made them all incredibly tasty.

Even though we were pretty full I saw the next table order this and it looked too good to pass up.  It was seared tuna with a pomegranate topping and it was fantastic.

We were so happy to end our fun little get away with such a fantastic restaurant.

As we were leaving we met the chef who is just a young guy who grew up in New Orleans but of Vietnamese decent.  He talked to us for a while and we raved to him about how great his retaurant is.

We will be back in the near future, both to Barcelona and to Me!
