It was my last day in California before heading up to a much colder Washington state to visit my parents.  It seemed that Mother Nature pulled herself together to give me a spectacular day to remember California with.

Sandy and I drove out the scenic route through Palos Verdes with sweeping views looking back towards Redondo and Venice Beach, all the way up to Santa Monica.  We stopped at a little bay I've always been particularly fond of and took in the beautiful view.



I've always loved the sound of the waves and it is something I really miss.  When you are used to living near the ocean it is something that you never feel as if you can do without.  To me, it has an unexplainable pull and its vastness is somehow familiar and comforting. I tried to capture the feeling and sound of the ocean in this little video that I took while we were there...

I wish I could bottle it up and conjure it now and then when I need a dose of the California coast.  I'm sure going to miss this scenery...



...but then again, it isn't so bad in Tuscany!
